About Me
My name is Melanie D. Holtz and I am a professional genealogist specializing in Italian research. I have 15 years experience in genealogical research and have worked extensively in the Italian records. I am especially experienced in the records of southern Italy and Sicily but work in all regions of Sicily.
As a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), I abide by the Code of Ethics set forth by that organization. During 2010, I will serve on the APG Board of Directors and the Publications Review Committee. I belong to the national organization as well as the North Carolina Chapter where I serve as Vice-President and Director of Programs.
Additionally, I hold memberships in the National Genealogical Society, Italian Genealogical Group, and the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society.
In addition to client research, I manage a project to abstract the indexes to the civil records [1820-1910] of two Italian towns, Polizzi Generosa and Isnello.
